You can listen as well as you can see your baby's heart beat in your first TVS scan(Transvaginal Scan) at the sixth week with the help of  a Doppler at your doctor's appointment. Normally a baby's heart start to beat at six weeks. In any case, if you miss your TVS done in the early days of your pregnancy then not to worry, you can listen to your baby's heart beat at NT (Nuchal Translucency) scan at 11 to 13th weeks of your pregnancy.

Heart starts beating at 6th week of pregnancy. It is detectable on ultrasound by around 7-8 weeks of pregnancy depending on the method used (transvaginal/ abdominal).
