When my wife and I were expecting our first child, we first met Dr. Jyotsna Gandhi. Everything was well until a 20-week abnormality scan revealed that my wife's cervix was 50% open and short, which may have resulted in the loss of our unborn child. My wife had an urgent cervical cerclage procedure, and the doctor advised bed rest till delivery. As we followed her advice, our kid was born without incident.
