Dr. KS Somasekhar Rao is a Consultant - Medical Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad with an experience of over 8 years in this field. He has completed his MBBS graduation from Andhra Medical College (Visakhapatnam), MD (General Medicine) and DM (Med Gastroenterology) qualification from MR Medical College (Gulbarga, Karnataka) and Sri Rama Chandra Medical College (Chennai) respectively. Alongside, he also holds a background in medical education. Previously, Dr. Rao served at Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences, Gannavaram, Andhra Pradesh as an Assistant Professor for a period of one year. Since 2012, Dr. Rao is tutoring students in Gastroenterology at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, Whitefield, Bengaluru and still continues to do so. Dr. K S Somasekhar Rao specializes in treating health problems such as Hepatitis, Pancreatitis, Biliary diseases, Colon problems and Gastric problems. And, his professional interest lies in the area such as Luminal Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology. He holds membership in Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
