Dr. Rajib De

Dr. Rajib De is a Senior Consultant and Head of Department of Hematology & Haemato Oncology unit at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah. He has more than 8 years of experience. Apart from this, he is also serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Haematology at N.R.S Medical College & Hospital. He specializes in multiple myeloma, MDS, thalassemia, leukemia, aplastic anemia, WBC Disorders, Bone Marrow Transplantation, and other Haematological Diseases.

After obtaining MBBS and MD degrees, Dr. Rajib De completed his DM in Clinical Haematology from Institute of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine at Medical College, Kolkata. During his DM course, he went to AIIMS - New Delhi to obtain his training certification in Bone Marrow Transplant. This generated his interest in Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) and therefore, he started bone marrow transplantation in Medical College Calcutta in 2009. Thereafter, he served as a practicing Bone Marrow Transplant specialist at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and has performed 65 transplants till now.

Dr. Rajib De has won ‘Best Award’ for presentation in the 49th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine, 2008. He has penned down a few chapters in different Haematological books such as Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Haematology Today, and Management of Acute Leukemia.
