Dr. Subhash Gupta

Dr. Subhash Gupta is available as Chairman - Centre for Liver and Biliary Sciences at Max Hospital in Delhi. Dr. Subhash Gupta is accredited all over the world for his exceptional work in the liver transplantation field. He completed his undergraduate degree and Masters in General Surgery from AIIMS, New Delhi. He also did a specialization in Surgical Gastroenterology in 1989.

After completing his specialization, he moved to England to get training under Dr. Paul McMaster in the Liver Unit at Queen Elizabeth. He also underwent fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow. He is recognized for successfully conducting many living donor liver transplants, at Centre for Liver and Biliary Sciences.

Dr. Gupta was also honoured with Excellence in Clinical Medicine and Vishist Chikitsh Rattan on Doctor’s Day in 2012. In 2016, the Medical Council of India awarded him the prestigious B. C. Roy award. He has also contributed to different aspects of living donor liver transplantation, such as liver transplantation without hepatitis B immunoglobulin prophylaxis and appropriate CMV Prophylaxis.
