Dr. Sweta Mohanty

Dr. Sweta Mohanty is a Consultant - Paediatric Cardiology. She completed her MBBS and MD Pediatrics at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai and later started her residency in Pediatrics at Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. She is a certified Paediatric Cardiologist by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Sweta Mohanty has undergone extensive training to do specialization in Pediatric Cardiology (FNB) from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin. Prior to Aster CMI Hospital, she gained experience in Pediatric Cardiology at Fortis Hospital, Mumbai and at various leading pediatric cardiac centers in the USA, including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Boston’s Children’s Hospital. She is a member of IMA, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, ISPAE, American Academy of Pediatrics and Pediatric cardiac society of India. Dr. Sweta Mohanty has always been very active in research work and was involved in gene therapy research (micro-RNA1 gene therapy for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) at Temple University, Philadelphia. She has also organized CMEs and workshops in Pediatric Cardiology, and multiple patient support group meetings. Dr. Sweta Mohanty holds an expertise in Pediatric Cardiology and Fetal echocardiography.
